Genesis and the snake

Genesis was one of my students at the seminary. One day he came a little late to class. He apologized for being late. The reason he was late was that when he was laying in bed that morning with his wife a snake fell on to his chest from the thatched roof above him. Thankfully neither he nor his wife were bitten but it was understandably traumatizing nonetheless. I told him he made the right choice to stay with his wife until they both recovered from the shock.
