May Ministry Update

Greetings from Yaounde,

Just a quick update. What an awesome morning at our church here this Sunday. Here’s a couple pictures. The first one looks like I’m preaching from the back row or somehow interrupting the service, but Dieudonne asked me to pray for the 20 members who joined the church yesterday. Not a seat available in the church. Pray that our ministry center will be built soon (more info coming).  

The 2nd picture is of one of the 12 who were baptized this morning. Unspeakable joy to see people coming to Christ and uniting with the church!

Please pray for the graduation ceremony of our first MDiv cohort that will happen on Saturday.

Of course, there are many sorrows amidst the joys. As the church grows, pastoral care needs multiply. Pray for wisdom as we seek to build up the leadership and as we begin to dream about planting our first daughter church. Our goal is not to become a megachurch, but to be a healthy mother church that plants churches that plant churches.
